The Real Deal- How to make a Flower Curtain
Posted on 28 October 2016
Flower curtains are quick and easy projects that make a big statement. They make for a beautiful backdrop for any event or even a photoshoot. In this three step tutorial, we show you how to make a beautiful flower curtain using roses.
Feel free to exchange roses for your favorite flower as they work just the same. Be creative and show us your creations! We may just use your creativity in our next post.
What You’ll Need:
1. Fishing line
3. Flowers of your choice. (In this example used large natural roses.)
4. Bucket of water
Step 1: Hydrate your flowers
Let your flowers hydrate in the bucket of water for several hours before cutting the flowers 1 inch from the base of the bloom. Hydrate flowers properly for the best possible healthy appearance.
Step 2: Thread your fishing line
Thread the fishing line through the center of the flower head and out through the base of the flower. Tie a knot in the line to evenly space the flowers. We alternated the distance between flowers to keep a natural staggered pattern.
Step 3: Hang!
Hang them from a doorway, tie them to a hanging rod, or hang them from the ceiling with simple hanging hooks. It is up to you where you want to display these beautiful blooms.
This tutorial is fairly simple to do, but you have to be careful once you thread the flowers as they have a tendency to tangle up if you bunch them together.
Be bold with your beautiful blooming backdrop!
