2017 Pantone Institute Spring Wedding Colors
Posted on 14 March 2017
Spring is officially underway and we couldn't be any more excited because it's also the beginning of wedding season! Here at Bloomingmore, our designers are excited for the new color trends that are allowing for each wedding to be a one-of-kind event. This year, event and floral designers are opting for colors commonly found throughout nature. In this blog we cover the trends as predicted by the Pantone Institute and give design tips on how to ensure your flower designs are on trend.
The TOP 10 Spring color palette featured below from the Pantone Institute's 2017 press release ranges from delicate pastels that convey a sense of sweetness to vibrant colors to refresh the soul after a cold and long-felt winter.
I know you're probably thinking, "Haven't pastels always been popular among brides?"
This year's colors mean so much more than that. Now, the style no longer sticks to one primary color, but instead dare to include 4 to 6 shades per arrangement. This means you can have mountain greens, Caribbean blues, warm yellows and sweet-pea pinks all in the same bouquet!
With so much life and contrast, it is hard to call this year's pastel wedding anything BUT ordinary. Spring weddings will tend to focus on the lighter, more whimsical hues while late summer weddings will consist of vibrant colors.
Be Bold. Get away with pairing any set of colors, and complete the look with lots of variations of Greenery. We love adding sprigs of green not only because they are easy to care for and often last for over a month, but because they add extravagance to any arrangement.
