Bloomingmore

Our Why

We believe everyone deserves access to beautiful, farm-fresh flowers. Bloomingmore was created to connect people directly with trusted growers, making exceptional blooms more accessible while supporting sustainable farming communities worldwide.

Our Roots

Behind every stem is a global community of passionate farmers, agronomists, and floral experts dedicated to responsible growing practices. We help create a positive impact for people and the planet while bringing nature's beauty directly to your door.

Lisianthus (also called eustoma) is one of the most elegant and underrated flowers in the floral world. With its ruffled, rose-like blooms and long, branching stems, it's a favorite for weddings and upscale arrangements. One stem can hold multiple buds that open gradually over time, giving you a beautiful, ever-changing display that just keeps getting better.

Like all of our flowers, lisianthus is not ready to display the moment it arrives. The buds need time to hydrate and open up, and the more patient you are, the more beautiful the result!

What You'll Need

  • A clean vase
  • Fresh, cool water
  • Floral preservative (recommended)
  • Sharp scissors or floral shears

Step-by-Step Care Instructions

  1. Unpack promptly. Remove your lisianthus from the packaging as soon as it arrives and let the stems breathe.
  2. Trim the stems. Cut 1 to 2 inches off the bottom of each stem at a 45-degree angle. Lisianthus has hollow stems, so a clean, sharp cut is especially important.
  3. Use fresh water with preservative. Fill your vase with cool, clean water and add floral preservative. The sugars in the preservative help fuel the opening of all those beautiful buds along each stem.
  4. Remove lower leaves. Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline to keep the water clean.
  5. Change the water every 2 days. Re-trim the stems each time to keep them drinking well.
  6. Keep them in a cool spot. Avoid direct sunlight, heat vents, and ripening fruit. Lisianthus lasts longest in a cool, bright room.

Pro Tips

  • Be patient with the buds: Lisianthus stems come with multiple buds at different stages. The lower blooms open first, followed by the upper buds over the next several days. Don't remove the buds early. They will open and reward your patience!
  • Great for mixed arrangements: Lisianthus pairs beautifully with roses, peonies, and eucalyptus. Its ruffled texture adds depth and a romantic feel to any bouquet.

Florist Secret

Lisianthus is often mistaken for roses or peonies in arrangements, which makes it a fantastic budget-friendly alternative for achieving a lush, high-end look. If you're designing on a budget, mixing lisianthus with a smaller number of premium blooms is a trick florists use all the time to create full, luxurious arrangements without breaking the bank!

How Long Will They Last?

With proper care, lisianthus typically lasts around 7 days in a vase. With extra attention to fresh water, cool temperatures, and a good environment, they may last even longer. As the lower blooms fade, simply remove them and enjoy the fresh buds that continue to open above.
