We found a great DIY project to give any party a summertime pick-me-up. It was cheap, simple, and fun to do!

Here's a list of what you will need:
  • Fruits of your choice (We used a watermelon, honeydew, and pineapple.)
  • Knife
  • Scooper
  • Plastic bags (3)
  • Flowers of your choice  (We used a mix of carnations and hydrangeas)
To prepare your pineapple, first cut off the top. Then begin to clean out the inside. To do this we used a metal scooper. Once the pulp is cleared, line the inside with your plastic bag. This is where the water will go. Another successful method is using the bottom half of a plastic bottle to place inside your fruit.
To prepare your honeydew, cut a hole out of the top. Remove this part and begin to remove the seeds. You will also need to scoop out the white insides. Once the cavity is cleared, you may line the fruit with your plastic bag.
Preparing the watermelon was very similar to the honeydew. cut your desired shape out of the melon and proceed to clear the insides. Once the melon is cleared, line the inside of the fruit with your plastic bag.

Your 3 vases are now arrangement ready! Stabilize your fruit, fill your bags with water, and begin arranging your flowers!
