Kale
Kale or leaf cabbage is grown for their edible leaves but can also be used as ornamentals. Kale originated in the eastern Mediterranean and Asia Minor and was first cultivated as a food. It is a hardy plant that can be grown in the winter surviving temperatures as low as 5° Fahrenheit. A heavy frost can make it become sweeter. Kale adds depth to any wedding arrangement since the leaves form a tight rosette.
