Bloomingmore

Our Why

We believe everyone deserves access to beautiful, farm-fresh flowers. Bloomingmore was created to connect people directly with trusted growers, making exceptional blooms more accessible while supporting sustainable farming communities worldwide.

Our Roots

Behind every stem is a global community of passionate farmers, agronomists, and floral experts dedicated to responsible growing practices. We help create a positive impact for people and the planet while bringing nature's beauty directly to your door.

Anthuriums are one of the most striking and exotic flowers you can work with. Their glossy, heart-shaped spathes and waxy texture give them an almost sculptural quality that makes them stand out in any arrangement. Available in deep reds, pinks, whites, and greens, they bring a bold, tropical elegance to bouquets, centerpieces, and installations alike.

Like all of our flowers, anthuriums are not ready to display the moment they arrive. Give them a little time to hydrate and settle in after their journey and they will look their best.

A Note on Colors and Availability

Anthuriums come in a beautiful range of colors, but not all colors are available year-round. Some varieties and shades are seasonal or limited in supply. If you have a specific color in mind for an event or project, we recommend planning ahead and ordering early to make sure you get exactly what you need!

What You'll Need

  • A clean vase
  • Fresh, room temperature water
  • Sharp scissors or floral shears

Step-by-Step Care Instructions

  1. Unpack promptly. Remove your anthuriums from the packaging as soon as they arrive and let them breathe.
  2. Trim the stems. Cut 1 to 2 inches off the bottom of each stem at a 45-degree angle. Anthurium stems can be thick, so make sure your scissors are sharp for a clean cut.
  3. Use room temperature water. Unlike most cut flowers, anthuriums prefer room temperature water rather than cold. Cold water can shock them and cause the spathes to discolor or wilt prematurely.
  4. Remove lower foliage. Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline to keep the water clean.
  5. Change the water every 2 to 3 days. Re-trim the stems each time to keep them drinking well.
  6. Keep them warm. Anthuriums are tropical flowers and do not like the cold. Keep them away from air conditioning vents, cold drafts, and temperatures below 50°F. A warm room is ideal.
  7. Avoid direct sunlight. Bright, indirect light is best. Direct sun can bleach or scorch the spathes.

Pro Tips

  • Handle with care: The waxy spathes of anthuriums can show fingerprints and scratches easily. Handle them by the stem rather than the spathe whenever possible to keep them looking pristine.
  • They last a long time: Anthuriums are one of the longest-lasting cut flowers available, which makes them a great value for events and home decor.
  • Great for tropical arrangements: Anthuriums pair beautifully with tropical foliage like ti leaf, bird of paradise, and monstera for a lush, exotic look.

Florist Secret

If an anthurium spathe starts to look a little dull or loses some of its shine, gently wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth. This removes any dust or residue and restores that beautiful, glossy finish that makes anthuriums so eye-catching. Florists do this before photographing arrangements to make the blooms really pop!

How Long Will They Last?

With proper care, anthuriums typically last around 7 days in a vase. Keeping them warm and away from cold drafts is the key to getting the most out of every stem. With extra attention to their environment, they may last even longer.
