Calla Lilies Care & Handling Guide
Upon arrival, take the calla’s out of the box and immediately start the hydration process. While we usually advise cutting the stems with a clean, sharp blade (scissors, pruners, or a kitchen knife), this is especially important with the calla lilies.
Exposure to bacteria can damage them very quickly, leading to brown, mushy stems, and damaged flowers. After cutting the stems, place them in water to rehydrate. After 2-3 hours you can place them in the desired arrangement. If you see any damaged stems, remove those flowers immediately and disregard, rinse off the remaining stems and the vase, and change the water.
