DIY Christmas Flower Ornament Centerpiece
Posted on 16 December 2016
We at Bloomingmore love DIY projects, especially near the holidays-with so much going around this time of year we truly appreciate the cute yet simple projects everyone can participate in. This unordinary center piece is a no-fuss project that can be completed in almost five minutes! Don’t believe us? See for yourself on our Instagram page @bloomingmore!
For this particular six-person table we kept the centerpiece small and used only six ornaments, a bunch of white pompom mums and a bunch of hypericum. You can adjust accordingly to your guest list. To add height, I placed the ornaments on candles sticks. The candle sticks also helped to keep the ornaments from tipping over but double sided scotch tape also works well.
What You’ll Need:
- Hanging Ball Ornaments
- Hypericum (2 stems per ornament)
- Mums in the color of your choice (3 stems per ornament)
STEP 1: HYDRATE
When your flowers arrive, hydrate for several hours prior to crafting your table centerpiece.
STEP 2: TRIM THE STEMS
Cut the stems of your flowers and hypericum 1.5 inches below the base of the flower.
STEP 3: FORM A BASE
Arrange the ornaments to your liking. We recommend getting creative and using candle sticks, and any other ornaments you may have around your house.
STEP 4: ADD FLOWERS
Now for the fun part… add flowers! Flowers have a magical way of bringing centerpieces to life. I recommend adding three mums and two stems of hypericum to each ornament. Add more if you are using larger ornaments.
