Homemade Potpourri

Posted on 01 June 2016

Did you know flowers have an afterlife? Reuse your old flowers to make fresh smelling potpourri!

What you will need:

  • Your old flowers (I used a few flower heads and a lot of petals)
  • Fragrance fillers (I used orange and lemon slices)
  • Essential oil (10-15 drops for every tablespoon; I used lavender)

Step 1: Pre-heat your oven at 200*F.

Step 2: Layout all your ingredients on parchment paper over a baking sheet and spray your essential oil mix over the flowers.

Step 3: Allow to bake in the oven for 2 hours or until flowers are dried and not burnt. You can continue to re-apply your essential oil mix throughout its use.
